Some Oldies.........

I have been scanning some old pics to make a book for my mom and I have found SO many old pics I LOVE. I love pictures so much because they capture some of the best moments of your life and can take you back to memories you may have forgotten.
I couldn't post them all but here are some of my favorites or ones that triggered some of my best memories so far..............
We grew up going to clam beach in Humboldt county.
I have sooooo many memories there.
I loved when Papa, Uncle Roger and my Dad would go fishing and clean the fish in Papa's backyard
This camping trip is probably my first memory. I have so many flashbacks of this camping trip and sleeping in the back of the bronco with my mom and dad.
I have always LOVED my dolls......obviously
I remember how happy I was when Jen was born.
I remember singing King of the Road, Alice's restaurant and Puff the Magic Dragon with my Dad while he played his guitar.
I have countless memories with Jess and Lee in Grandma and Papa's backyard.
Me and my basketball hoop.
Anyone who knows Blake and his OBSESSION with Larry Bird will know this shows we were destined for each other.
So many Easter eggs hunts together in Grandma and Papa's backyard.
LOVE the shorts Dad!
My BOMBSHELL of a mom.
I always set up my dolls to have TV parties with me.
Just another day at Clam Beach.
Jen was always my partner in crime
Oscar and Cookie Monster for Halloween. Hilarious.
My mom taught jazzersize and we loved to do her tapes in front of our little tv.
The first time I went to Disneyland and felt the magic. I remember this sooooooo well. I was so happy and this is the day my obsession with Disneyland started!
Just look at my face.
One of my most vivid memories was waiting to go to Disneyland in the hotel.
I just couldn't even wait!

Springtime Memories........

Ok so forgive me now because this post is going to be a novel.
This spring has been a never ending adventure full of travel, birthdays, Easter, chocolate, cheese, sunshine, family, friends, shopping, the list goes on and on. I haven't blogged about any of it yet cuz I have had no time so here it goes.....
It started with my birthday. It was fabulous! Blake never lets me go unspoiled on my day so in true Blake fashion he planned the perfect day. It started with a pink coconut birthday cake he and Jax gave to me for breakfast. Of course Jax had to sing to me and I had to blow out the candles 3 times. I will be so sad the day that a birthday cake with candles and a song doesn't rock his world. You should see how much he loves it.
Then we went to Cheesecake Factory for my favorite Sweet Corn Tamales for lunch with a pineapple mojito. Soooooooo yummy!
Suzi was so sweet to babysit the kids the rest of the day while Blake took me for a couples retreat at the spa, a little shopping and then dinner at Cafe Fresco. PERFECT.

Then it was Easter. Tae's first one and Jaxon's first year that he really understood all of the Easter bunny business. He was a little concerned the night before when I was putting him to bed about a huge bunny sneaking into the house while he was sleeping to leave his Easter basket. But the next morning I was laying in bed when he woke up and I heard his little feet run down the stairs and into the family room and stop as soon as he saw what the bunny left him on the fireplace he whispered to himself, "WOW............HE CAME!" and ran as fast as he could to our room to tell us the EASTER BUNNY CAME!!! Priceless.
Dane was stayed with us for the week so he was able to be with us on Easter too. Blake made his famous gooey french toast for breakfast, we watched General Conference, colored Easter eggs, watched Alice in Wonderland that Tae got in her Easter basket and went to Scott and Suzi's for a classic Easter dinner. I did an egg hunt in the back yard for all the kids which was a blast.
Blake made these pink eggs for me and Tae. I loved them......

GARTH. WYNN. UNBELIEVABLE.
I grew up listening to Garth Brooks. His music was such a part of my life but I never got to see him in concert. I was too young during his concert days and then he retired. I have wanted to see Garth in concert for as long as I can remember so last year when we were in Vegas and I saw a sign on a taxi cab that said Garth. Wynn. I freaked out! I thought it would be impossible to get tickets but I wanted to go to this show soooooooooooo bad!
So Blake being Blake took me to Vegas and made it happen............ and all I can say is it was truly one of the best nights of my life. I LOVED every single second of it.
Garth walked out onto the stage in a hoodie sweatshirt, jeans, a baseball cap with nothing but his guitar, a stool and a water bottle on the stage. He sang bits and pieces of songs that shaped his life and who he is and of course sang all his hits. Trisha Yearwood joined him for a few songs. It was INCREDIBLE!
Blake and I spent the rest of the weekend in Vegas celebrating my birthday still and our anniversary that is coming up. We stayed at the Aria hotel in the new city center. We loved it. We saw the Viva Elvis show there, went to the spa which was the most incredible spa I have ever been to, went on a SHOE shopping spree and like always ate way too much yummy food.
I didn't want it to end. I guess we will just have to go back.
Thanks so much mom for watching my kids again......... your the best!

My friend Amy made these chocolate souffle cakes for Chris and I for our birthdays. They were the BOMB! No joke Amy makes hands down the BEST chocolate souffle cake I have EVER had!
Thanks Amy! Luv ya!!
Then we had been home from Vegas for like 5 min so we decided to go to Seattle for the weekend. I know.... we are crazy. But I got to see Lisa's dance competition, go to Pikes Market, shop at my very favorite Nordstrom and the Lululemon store, eat at the Pink Door with Chris and Amanda, go to Brianne's cycle class who PS- is the CUTEST teacher you have EVER seen. If you live in Seattle and haven't been to one of her classes I highly recommend you do. Hung out at Tara's new house which I am obsessed with, went to Caleb's baseball game in 70 degree weather and celebrated my moms birthday. I made my Mom a mac photo book with old pics of us. It turned out so perfect. I will post some of my fav pics later.
SOOOOOOOOO proud of this girl...............

Blake's favorite jam is this Tayberry jam at pikes. He eats it by the spoonful.
The apple cinnamon rolls before they bake them at the pirosky shop. I am kicking myself for not getting one. I was too excited to try all the cheese at Beechers............

So we are finally home now and to stay for a while. We came home to sunshine and 70-80 degrees, our grass is turning green, our trees are blooming, my planter box for our vegetable garden is done and our landscaping will be done in a couple weeks. Summer is coming and I have so much to do to get ready but I am sooooo excited! I will keep you posted as I go. But so far the list is..........clean the garage (actually Blake has to do this), plant a few trees, bushes and tons of flowers, plant our vegetable garden, finish painting my kitchen stools, move in all the new furniture from the house we just flipped that I staged, redo my bedroom and bathroom, deck out the back patio with furniture, pots and a new grill, deck out the front porch, put fresh sand in the sandbox, re-do my entry way, wallpaper one wall in my salon, paint the bathroom by our kitchen, get a new rug for under the table, plan Tae's birthday party ( I know I get WAY too into these things, but i love it) Register Jax for preschool in the fall, start my new fitness plan with Danielle, finish our 72 hour kits and food storage............... I know I am crazy but wish me luck!
I am just glad to be home for a while and enjoy the spring/summer at home. If you are looking for us this summer you will find us on the back porch grilling, sipping margaritas, mojitos or lemonade, running in the sprinklers in the backyard or on the lake with the boat.
I can't even wait......................
