The rest of the summer....

I am sooooo sorry for not blogging for over a month! My computer has a virus and things have just been crazy! Summer is officially over but surprisingly I am not sad. I am so excited for Fall and for all of the upcoming holidays! This past month we had fun on the boat, spent a weekend in Park City, took the kids to their first concert- Brad Paisley & Derks Bently, went to Seattle for Bumbershoot, went to the fair and Jaxon had his first real Pony ride. He was OBSESSED! Girls Night! I miss these girls soooooo much! And seriously there is no one better to eat 7 entrees at Cheesecake Factory with!

Taelin's Blessing Day

Taelin Jean was blessed on Sunday, Aug. 30th. It was the best day ever! We had so much friends and family to share this special day with. I am so thankful for everyone we have to share our lives with and to have so many people around us that support us and love us so much. Blake did such an amazing job on Tae's blessing. It was simple and sweet and I will remember it forever. I loved looking around at the church and seeing 5 full rows of people who were there just for us. I can't even explain how much that meant to our family............
After the blessing we all came back to our house for the party! We had J Dawgs and soooooo much other good food. It was the perfect day!

Arcata, my favorite place on earth.........

Clam Beach........... I spent so much time running around clam beach when I was a kid with Jen, Jesse and Lee. So many fun memories together here and now I am bringing my 2 kids here. I hope they can make fun memories here too. And Mom- I hope they watch out for the under TOAD!!
We finally got to take Taelin Jean to meet her Great Grandma Jean and Great Papa Lee! I was so excited to go to Arcata to see them and Uncle Roger, Aunt Marris, Jesse, Lee and Aunt Dean. I miss them all so much and wish so bad we could live closer. Grandma and Papa's house is my favorite place on earth! I can't explain exactly why but its just the feeling I get every time I am there. I love all the people there the most but I love the memories, the smells, the little backyard, the popper bushes, the front steps, the clocks, the kitchen table, the apple pie, the potato salad, the kitchen sink and the picture hallway.
On our way home we stopped at Confusion Hill. It was a trip! I can't even begin to explain what it was like you kind of just have to experience it for yourself. We went into the gravity house and it was the weirdest feeling...... you couldn't stand up straight, golf balls rolled uphill instead of downhill, water streamed uphill, I seemed taller than Blake standing on level ground. It was nuts! We also drove through a huge redwood on our way home, Blake couldn't pass that up!
This is Blake in the gravity house trying to stand up straight! Crazy!!!!
